You will get a chance not only to win an award of $5,000 but also raise the awareness of people regarding Alzheimer's Disease by writing an essay related to it; you can even make a lot of people realize how difficult it is for Alzheimer patients to cope up with their environment and themselves. Similarly, the Holocaust Remembrance Project aims at keeping the memories of the Holocaust alive and passing them on to the future generations. Awards in this project begin at $2,500 financial aid. Aside from writing an essay, you also have the option to get an award by working as an intern before your undergraduate studies starts. Bank of America, for instance, offers an 8-week internship program to high school juniors and seniors and students get paid at varying degrees.
